  • Originally from Sydney, Australia
  • Formed by Angus and Malcom Young
  • Original band members: Malcom and Angus Young, Dave Evans, Larry Van Kriedt, and Colin Burgess
  • First gig played on New Year's Eve 1971 at a club called Chequers in Sydney
  • Larry Van Kriedt and Colin Burgess were the first members to leave. They were replaced by Mark Evans (bass) and Bon Scott (drums)
  • In 1976, they were given an international record deal with Atlantic Records, getting them an extensive tour through Europe
