===Description===

The students in 11th grade will focus on a specific revolution that deals with science. Groups of four or five will go in depth about explaining why it is one and how it has affected the world before, during, and after the specific revolution was done.


When doing this project, students will be examining the intricacies of society, and to discover how the changes through time lead to the development of American culture and technology.



===Essential Question===

All revolutions begin with small changes in thought or act. Why do some small changes lead to a revolution while others do not?


===Grading===


Groups will be graded as a whole and individually. As a whole, groups will be graded on completing each component. People will be graded individually by the content of the work that each member does in each component.


===Components===

The project will be divided into 10 parts where groups will have to give support in different ways on why their particular topic is a valid scientific revolution.

Component 1
Group members are required to do research on a certain subtopic that has to do with the general topic chosen. Individually, members in the group will have to have a minimum of 5 sources each about the topic. A paper must be written about the sources chosen and must consist of 2 paragraphs.
  • First paragraph will be what the source is about and what is in the source that makes it different from other
sources found.
  • Second paragraph must be about the validity of the source. In other words, what makes this source acceptable?
-The group will be graded based upon if everyone did their work.
-The individual student will be graded by him or her using correct MLA format, if 5 sources were accurately talked about, and if the written work has any grammatical errors.


Component 2
The main objective of this is to make a website that depicts a person that was essential to the revolution of the group's choice. The website will consist of a minimum of nine blogs that talk about his or her life. It will also depict why and how that person affected the revolution by way of that person's contributions.
- The group will be graded based on the ammount of checkpoints the website has done.
- The group members will be distributing individual grades based on the overall grade givin for the website.



Component 3
In this section, groups will be assigned the task of creating a magazine that expresses the group's revolution of science. Each group member will be in charge of writing an article pertaining to said revolution. There are four options of articles which students will be allowed to write about, and each one has to be written by a member in the group. The topics that the students will be able to explore are science, history, statistical analysis, and two persuasive essays(one pro and one con). This means that one student will write a science article, one will write a history article, and then one will do an article pertaining to statistical analysis, and the last two members will decide which one will write a pro persuasive or a con persuasive article.
- The group will be graded on how realistic the magazine is.
- The group members will be based upon how well the articles are written.
